LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's track & field team continued its momentum from last weekend, finishing day one of a two-day event Friday evening at the Bison Invitational, hosted by Bucknell University.
 
Kira Solt (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) and Sophia Knerr (Columbia, N.J./North Warren Regional) both had top-three finishes on the track. Solt placed second overall in the 60m final in a time of 9.24 and Knerr earned a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying time of 18:59.27 in the 5000m, crossing the finish line third.
 
Elizabeth Mohler (Elverson, Pa./Twin Valley), Jonna Pettus (Easton, Pa./Easton) and Skylar Miller (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) are all competing in the pentathlon and finished four events. The remainder will take place on Saturday.
 
Day two of competition is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 29, back at Bucknell.
 
*The rest of Friday's events where results did not come in will be added with Saturday's recaps. This includes the pole vault and distance medley relay.
