Xavier Feliciano brings home PSAC championship in the pole vault as KU competes on day one at PSACs

SATURDAY RESULTS
 
EDINBORO, Pa. – Xavier Feliciano (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) found his name at the top of the list as the junior can claim himself a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) champion in the pole vault, highlighting the Kutztown University men's track & field team at PSAC Indoor Championships Saturday at Edinboro University.
 
Feliciano won the event with a best jump of 4.75m (15-7).  Larry Brown (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) placed fourth in the weight throw at 17.55m (57-7) and Zach Austen (Enola, Pa./Cumberland Valley) finished tied for fifth in the pole vault at 4.15m (13-7.25) as KU competitors to place in the top-five of their individual field events.
 
Tommy Oliver (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) helped out his cause in the heptathlon as the junior cleared a personal-best mark of 1.97m (6-5.50) in the high jump, which ranks ninth all-time in program history. He also earned a second-place finish in the shot put at 10.73m (35-2.50).
 
George Weems (Cheltenham, Pa./Upper Dublin) placed second in the 200m in a time of 21.88 to qualify for Sunday's final. Both Martin Valle (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) and Tyrece Brown (Westville, N.J./Deptford Township) qualified for the 60H final and posted PRs, with Valle's time of 8.46, ranking eighth all-time. Trey Henry (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) posted a blazing 6.99 in the 60m, fourth-best in program history, and qualified for the final Sunday.
 
Kutztown is currently fourth overall with 24.5 team points.
 
Action on day two of the championships begins at 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
