MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - The Kutztown University men's tennis team took down the Millersville Marauders on Saturday afternoon, 5-4, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) road matchup at the McComsey Tennis Courts in Millersville.

Kutztown (2-11, 1-3 PSAC) recorded wins at each of the first four flights in singles and posted a victory at No. 1 doubles.

Sophomores
Joan Oliver Perez (Andratx, Spain/IES Baltasar Porcel) and
Gabriel Nogara Souza (Curitiba, Brazil/Dom Bosco) were the key to the KU win as they both recorded a win in singles play and teamed up for an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles. Oliver Perez cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Nogara Souza had a 6-0, 6-3 straight-set win at No. 2 singles.

David Nunez Contreras (Madrid, Spain/Mater Immaculata) picked up a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles for the Golden Bears, while senior
Rich Lichtenwalner (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) won his match at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-3.

Nogara Souza recorded his sixth singles victory of the season on Saturday. Oliver Perez won his fourth singles match of the season, while Lichtenwalner posted his team-high seventh win in singles play.

Kutztown returns to action on Monday, April 4, at 3:30 p.m. as it takes on The College of New Jersey in a road match in Ewing, N.J.Â
