Emma Sullivan (Phoenixville, Pa./Methacton) and juniors
Valerie Mizansky (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) and
Nicole Boldosser (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) all set school-records on Saturday as the Kutztown University women's track and field team sits in fourth place following the opening day of the PSAC Indoor Championships at the Mike Zafirovski Dome at Edinboro University.

Shippensburg sits in first place through the first day of competition with 49 points. Slippery Rock is second with 46 and Edinboro is third with 35. Kutztown has 26 points and is seven points ahead of both East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg for fourth.

Sullivan captured her first career PSAC title in the pole vault in her final year with the Golden Bears. She improved on her school-record with an existing NCAA-provisional mark of 12-05.50. It is the second-highest mark in the pole vault in the PSAC this season.

Sullivan is the 26th PSAC champion for the KU women's track and field team since the PSAC Indoor Championship began in 2002 and its first since 2013.

Mizansky competed in the 60m dash prelims and set a KU record with a time of 7.82 seconds. She finished fifth and qualified for the finals in the event, which will take place tomorrow. Mizansky tied the old school-record of 7.87 seconds at the opening day of the PSAC Indoor Championships in 2015. She also competed in the long jump, placing fifth with a mark of 17-10.25.

Boldosser set a new school-record in the 200m dash. She finished seventh in the prelims with a career-best time of 25.68 seconds, qualifying for the finals tomorrow. Boldosser also placed fifth in the 400m prelims and qualified for the finals in the event with a time of 58.87 seconds. That time is the eighth-fastest in the PSAC in 2015-16.

Senior
Corinne Manela (Philadelphia, Pa./Saint Basil Academy) finished sixth in the 5000m run with a career-best time of 17:41.31. She now ranks fifth all-time in KU history in the event. Manela previously had the fifth-best mark in the 5000m in school history at 17:44.50, set during the 2014-15 season. Freshman
Amanda Ferraro (Howell, N.J./Howell) finished 14th in the event with a season-best time of 18:42.44.

Ashley Petre (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) finished ninth in the weight throw with a season-best mark of 45-06.25.
Carli Thurber (Califon, N.J./West Morris Central) placed 16th with a throw of 41-11.50.

KU had two of the top-four finishers in the pole vault. Along with Sullivan, redshirt-junior
Destiny Distasio (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) finished fourth in the event with a mark of 11-03.50.

Junior
Autumn Crouse (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) competed in the heptathlon for KU. She finished 12th overall in the event with 2673 points. Crouse set season-best marks of 9.72 seconds in the 60m hurdles and 4-10.25 in the high jump.

Kutztown resumes competition at the PSAC Indoor Championships tomorrow, Sunday Feb. 28, at 10:30 a.m. It will look for its first top-five finish since 2013 when it finished third out of 13 teams.
