Results

NEW YORK, NY – Senior thrower Rosealine Farrell (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) won the weight throw in a career-best, NCAA provisional mark that ranked fifth all-time in school history to highlight the Kutztown University women's track and field team's day at the NYU Team Challenge, held at the New Balance Track & Field Center.

Farrell tossed the winning mark of 53-3.37 (16.24m) that moved her up from sixth to fifth on Kutztown's All-Time Top 10 list. Based on results around the conference entering Friday's action, it currently ranks as the top mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) this season.

Torrey Hollis (Hughesville, PA/Hughesville) and Christina Descano (Broomall, PA/Marple Newtown) set existing PSAC marks in the 60m hurdles. Hollis finished fifth overall in 9.24 seconds, as Descano finished 10th in a career-best 9.87. Descano also finished sixth in the long jump in an existing PSAC mark of 16-8.

In the 200, freshman Nicole Boldosser (Mechanicsburg, PA/Cedar Cliff) set a new conference-qualifying mark. She finished in 1:01.92 for 16th overall for the first PSAC mark of her career. Junior distance runner Frances McNally (Drexel Hill, Pa./Springfield) also turned in a new PSAC mark as she finished seventh in the mile in 5:19.33.

Kutztown had two top-10 finishers in the pole vault. Sophomore Emma Sullivan (Phoenixville, PA/Methacton) finished fifth and tied her season-best mark of 11-3.83, and Destiny Distasio (Tunkhannock, PA/Tunkhannock) finished seventh while also tying her season-best mark of 10-9.92. Justine Ebbert (Hampstead, MD/North Carroll) came in at 11th (10-4.02) as all three Golden Bears posted existing PSAC cuts.

Also in field events, Rebecca Tooker (Sandyston, NJ/Kittatinny) (triple jump) and Carli Thurber (Califon, NJ/West Morris Central) (shot put) both had PSAC-qualifying, season-best marks on Friday night.

On the track, Brandy Nice (Collegeville, PA/Spring-Ford) (500), and Ashley Bauer (Temple, PA/Muhlenberg) (800) both had season-best performances in their respective events.

Kutztown will have a rare Saturday off tomorrow, as its multi athletes return to competition on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the Ursinus Multi. The remainder of the team will compete on Friday, Jan. 31 at both the Bucknell and Penn State Invites.
