BROADCAST INFORMATION: The game will be broadcast on WEEU-830 AM based out of Reading beginning at 12:50 p.m. with the pregame show. Fans throughout the world can listen to and watch the game at www.kubears.com. In addition, the game will air live on KUTV, which is Service Electric Channel 24, Hometown Utilicom Channel 28 in Kutztown and eastern Berks County, and Service Electric Channel 266 in the Lehigh Valley. The game will re-air on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7 at 3 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 8 at 12 p.m.

SERIES HISTORY: Saturday marks the 11th meeting between the Golden Bears and The Rock. Slippery Rock has won eight of the 10 previous matchups, but Kutztown is coming off a 56-49 victory over The Rock last season on the road. Slippery Rock won the first eight matchups in the series beginning in 1984, but has dropped the last two games. Its last win over Kutztown was in 2009 (27-24). The team's met in the 2011 PSAC Championship game, when KU's Marshall Vogel threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Erik Frazier with 2:59 to play to give Kutztown its first PSAC Championship in school history.
 
HEAD COACHES: Drew Folmar is in his first season as head coach of the Golden Bears in 2013, and has directed KU's offense and coached its quarterbacks since 2009. This is Folmar's first head coaching position and makes him the 15th head coach in Kutztown's modern football history.
 
George Mihalik has compiled a 170-104-4 record in 26 seasons as The Rock's head coach. Mihalik ranks second among active PSAC head coaches, fourth among active NCAA Division II head coaches and fifth on the PSAC's all-time wins list.
 
SUPPORT THE CAUSE: Throughout the month of October, fans are encouraged to wear pink to University Field. Donations will be accepted at the football game with proceeds going to help fight breast cancer. Kutztown coaches, players, and equipment staff will wear pink gear throughout October in support of this cause.
 
LAST TIME OUT FOR KUTZTOWN: Kutztown shut down one of the top rushing attacks in the country and led for more than 47 of the 60 minutes, but 17th-ranked West Chester showed its senior poise and scored the game-winning touchdown with 1:05 to play to topple Kutztown 22-21 in a PSAC Eastern Division showdown under the lights at John A. Farrell Stadium. For the game, Kutztown's defense held West Chester to 51 rushing yards, more than 250 yards less than its season average. Junior wide receiver Brett Fox (Laureldale, Pa./Muhlenburg) hauled in a career-high 13 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown. Freshman quarterback Alec Werner (Harrisburg, PA/Bishop McDevitt) threw for 338 yards and three touchdowns on 26-for-49 passing.  Sam Dixon-Dougan led the defense with 12 tackles while playing injured for most of the game. English Peay (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington) tallied nine tackles as Zachary Delp (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) hauled in an interception in his first career start. As a core, Kutztown limited the seventh-rated rushing attack in Division II to 51 yards on 23 attempts; however, West Chester went to the air for the majority of its attack with 383 yards. It is the first time this season Kutztown has allowed a 300-yard passer.
 
LAST TIME OUT FOR SLIPPERY ROCK: Slippery Rock University rode a three-pronged offensive attack to a 58-34 PSAC Western Division win over visiting Mercyhurst at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium. Junior running back Teddy Blakeman accounted for five touchdowns to lead the winning effort. Blakeman rushed for three touchdowns (3,1 and 8 yards), caught a 37-yard TD pass from senior quarterback Nigel Barksdale and threw a 25-yard TD to senior wide receiver John Schademan. Barksdale passed for 439 yards and two TDs on a 27-of-36, two-TD, one interception performance. Schademan caught 11 passes for a school-record 229 yards and two TDs in co-starring roles for The Rock. In addition to being on the receiving end of Blakeman's tailback-option pass, Schademan caught a 67-yard TD pass from Barksdale and hauled in a 14-yard TD pass from backup QB Zack Newsock. Barksdale completed 27 of 36 passes for 439 yards and two TDs and was picked off once. Behind the aforementioned trio's lead, SRU amassed 609 yards in total offense, 499 passing and 110 rushing.
 
QUICK AS A FOX: Junior wide receiver Brett Fox (Laureldale, Pa./Muhlenburg) hauled in a career-high 13 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown against West Chester. It rates as the fifth-most receiving yards in a single-game in school-history, and marks the most receiving yards by a Kutztown receiver since Elfren Quiles brought in a school-record 308 yards in 2007 against Bloomsburg.
 
STOP THE RUN: Kutztown limited the top two rushing teams in the PSAC to well below their season averages the last two weeks. It held Bloomsburg to 181 yards below its league-leading mark, and limited West Chester to 51 yards on 23 attempts, 272 yards below its average. KU has held three of its four opponents to less than its season average in rushing yards.
 
IT ONLY GETS EASIER: Kutztown holds the ninth-toughest schedule in Division II through four weeks based on past opposition. Not including games against KU, past opponents hold a record of 10-2 for a .833 winning percentage. It is tied with Gannon for the toughest schedule thus far in the PSAC. Looking ahead to future opposition, including 3-1 Slippery Rock, KU's future opponents hold a 12-16 record for a .429 winning percentage.
 
ONE AND DONE: West Chester went to the air for the majority of its attack with 383 passing yards against Kutztown. It is the first time this season Kutztown has allowed a 300-yard passer. KU also had its 19-yard field goal blocked. It was the first time since 2008 that Kutztown had a field goal attempt blocked.
 
FAMILIAR WITH REED: Junior receiver Kodi Reed (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) is third in the PSAC in receptions per game at 6.5. He averages a team-leading 95.5 yards per game.
 
RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE: The Golden Bears have held the advantage in time of possession in three of their four games. It held the ball a season-high 35:42 against West Chester.
 
BALL HAWK: Redshirt senior safety Alex DiNolfi (Norristown, PA/Norristown) tallied 13 tackles against Bloomsburg to tie his career-high set in 2011 against Shippensburg. He holds the KU single-season record for interceptions in a season with 11 set in 2011.
 
FRESH FACES: Freshman linebacker Shane Dougherty (Woodlyn, Pa./Ridley) made his first career start against Bloomsburg and tallied eight tackles with a fumble recovery. Fellow freshman Zachary Delp (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) started at linebacker in his first career game against West Chester and recorded three tackles with an interception.
 
NEXT UP: Following its game against Slippery Rock, Kutztown remains home to face Cheyney University on Saturday, Oct. 12 beginning at 1:05 p.m. Kutztown defeated the Wolves last year on the road, 56-7.
