LOCK HAVEN, Pa. --Â Kutztown University's
Noah Kracyla (Townsend, Del./Middletown) received his first career weekly award from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Monday, when he was selected as the PSAC East Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
Kracyla opened the scoring for nationally ranked Kutztown with a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown in last Saturday's 34-0 victory at Edinboro.
Â
The redshirt sophomore from Townsend, Del., fielded a low line drive from Fighting Scots' punter Ricco Sastoque and raced up the middle untouched for the score. The TD opened the flood gates for the Golden Bears, who went on to score touchdowns on each of their next four drives.
Â
The punt return TD was the second of Kracyla's career. He took one back 74 yards against West Chester last November. Kracyla finished with three punt returns for 65 yards, while also bringing in two catches for 21 yards.
Kutztown, which moved up to No. 5 in the AFCA Poll and No. 3 in the D2Football.com Top 25 on Monday, returns home to face Gannon at noon on Saturday, Sept. 20.
