KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's tennis team swept local rival Albright 9-0 in non-conference men's tennis action.

The Golden Bears (3-3) dropped just one game in doubles and only five in singles play to dominate the competition.
Matthew Maguire (Centurion, South Africa/Tuks Sports School) and
Varun Desai (Mumbai, India/K.C. College) (Bombay, India/K.C. College) won at first doubles with an 8-1 victory over Ruicong Lui and Cain Walter.
KU's other two doubles pairings shut out the opposition 8-0.
Darren Krout (Gordonville, PA/Pequea Valley) (Gordonville, Pa./Pequea Valley) and
Kenny Beebe (Landenburg, Pa./Kennett) swept Ian Moore and Chris Hawkins at second doubles and
Bilawal Suri (Kolkata, India/Calcutta International) (Kolkata, India/Calcutta International School) and
Ben Nace (Spring Grove, Pa./Delone Catholic) (Spring Grove, Pa./Delone Catholic) followed suit at third doubles against Joe Monzo and Thomas Werner.
In singles play,
Parth Girme (Pune, India/B.M.C.C.) (Pune, India/B.M.C.C.) and
Arjun Arora (New Dehli, India/G.D. Goenka Public School) (New Delhi, India/G.D. Goenka Public School) won their matches without dropping a single game. Grime was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Monzo at fourth singles. Arora won by a matching score at sixth singles against Brandon Wiegand.
Maguire had a rematch with Lui at first singles and won 6-1, 6-1. Desai was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Moore at No. 2 singles. Krout dropped just a game in the first set to defeat Walter at third singles, 6-1, 6-0. Nace was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at fifth singles against Hawkins.
KU look to carry its momentum into a match at The College of New Jersey on March 28.
