Box Score

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University's women's soccer team defeated Millersville 4-0 Wednesday afternoon, for their third shutout of the season.

KU's Sam Costello (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) took advantage of the moment the Marauder's goalkeeper Olivia Webber came out of the goal, to score the first goal for KU in the 25th minute.

The Marauder's came close to scoring in the 27th minute, but their attempt at retaliation failed when the KU defensive line caught them offside, going  on to reclaim the offensive advantage.

A double assist starting with a cross from the right by Jordyn Davis (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah), then a touch by Costello, set up Rubi Mink (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) to score the second goal for KU in the 32nd minute.

Before the first half came to an end, Kim Nale (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) put the ball in the back of the net in 42nd minute, scoring the third goal for KU from her center position five yards out from the goal for a 3-0 lead.

In the second half of play, a shot from left top of the box, into the high right corner by Mariah Dimm (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield), put the fourth and final tally on the scoreboard for KU.

KU held the shot advantage over Millersville 27-6 and Golden Bear goalkeeper Alina Rakiewicz (Denver, PA/Cocalico) finished the game with three saves.
