ERIE, Pa. — Dave Ben (sr. Coatesville/Coatesville) scored 21 points, but the Kutztown University men's basketball team had its unbeaten streak stopped with an 88-58 loss to Gannon University Saturday at the Hammermill Center.
The Golden Bears (9-1) trailed 37-29 at halftime of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover at Gannon, led by Joe Lindsey, who had 24 points.
Ryan Washington (Philadelphia, PA/Wissahickon) (so. Philadelphia/Wissahickon) scored 15 points and Stephen Dennis (West Chester, PA/Henderson) (jr. West Chester/Henderson) had 14.
Ben also led the Golden Bears in rebounds with nine and free throws, making 11-of-13 shots.
Gannon shot 53.2 percent from the floor, while KU shot 33.9 percent. The Golden Bears also struggled from 3, shooting 15 percent (3-of-20).
KU will travel to Clarion for a 3 p.m. PSAC crossover Sunday.
