KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown women's soccer team completed a four-game road trip to start the 2026 season with a 3-1-0 record. KU earned its first national ranking in The United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25 National Poll, as the 25^th best team in the nation as announced Tuesday. 
 
The Golden Bears took home three victories against Charleston, Lackawanna and Shepherd while battling West Virigina State to a draw, all within the first two weeks of the season. Kutztown's win against Shepherd opened PSAC play and served as a rematch of the last two years' PSAC championship.
 
Through four games, the Maroon and Gold outscored its opponents 17-6, averaging four goals per game during the two-week season start.
 
Senior Corinne Morgan (Port Republic, N.J./Cedar Creek) leads KU with four goals and an assist, with freshman Giavanna Marciano (Trappe, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) starting a strong season with four goals and Carly Louey (Hanover, Pa./South Western) with two goals and an assist following close behind.
 
West Chester is ahead of Kutztown and ranked third, and is the only other PSAC school in this week's poll.
 
Kutztown continues PSAC play with its home opener at Keystone Field against East Stroudsburg on Wednesday at 7 p.m., before going back on the road to face Mansfield on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 3 p.m.
