KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown acrobatics & tumbling team finished out its regular season on a positive note Thursday night and is riding a ton of momentum heading into the postseason after KU defeated American International 216.275-52.625 in a non-conference meet and regular season/home finale inside Keystone Arena.

The Golden Bears (5-4 overall) have won a season-high three meets in-a-row and sent out their seniors in style in their last meet inside Keystone Arena. The senior group includes
Haley Sullick (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood),
Hannah Fortuna (Itasca, Ill./Lake Park),
Sydney Jundt (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester),
Jordyn Osner (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown),
Julia Yeager (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg),
Cecilia Marshall (Bellingham, Mass./Home Schooled),
Zoe Tuttle (Ocean View, Del./Indian River) and
Catherine Lewis (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford).

Thursday night, the Maroon and Gold tallied the highest score of the season in the compulsory pyramid heat (9.50/10) and had the highest score of the season in the tumbling quad pass (7.10/8), while tying the highest score of the season in compulsory toss heat (8.95/10).

Kutztown will now prepare for the postseason. Up next is the Mountain East Conference Championships next Saturday and Sunday at Fairmont State University. KU is 3-3 in the MEC and will most likely be taking on the host Falcons (7-0, 4-0). Time is still to be determined.
