LEWISBURG, Pa. – Mackey Donovan (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee) ran the fourth-fastest time in the 1000m in program history Saturday to highlight Kutztown women's indoor track & field on the second and final day of the Bison Challenge and Multi in Lewisburg.
 
Donovan finished third overall in the event with a time of 3:03.36, ranking third all-time.
 
Other notable outcomes included top-five finishes by Deandra Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg), Isabella Hughes (Schuylkill Haven, Pa./Schuylkill Haven) and Jensen Kraft (Nutley, N.J./Saint Mary). Young placed fourth in the mile at 5:18.44. Hughes was also fourth in the 500m at 1:23.99 and Kraft crossed the finish line fifth in the 800m at 2:20.81.
 
Top-10 performers include Kennedy Bulger (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) in the weight throw, Beth Schearer (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) and Gracie Trexler (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) in the 500m and Lizzie Brown (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) in the 3000m. The 4x400 relay team, consisting of Kraft, Donovan, Young and Aubrey Carlson (Lebanon, N.J./North Hunterdon) were sixth at 4:23.83.
 
Kutztown is back in action next Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Sykes & Sabock Challenge, hosted by Penn State University in University Park.
