KINGS POINT, N.Y. -- Freshman Nevin Shaw (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) won a pair of events and set the fifth-best 400-yard individual medley time in Kutztown University men's swimming history, Saturday, as the Golden Bears concluded the regular season at the unscored USMMA Memorial Invite.

Shaw triumphed in the aforementioned 400 IM with a time of 4:21.44, while also setting top time in the 200 breaststroke (2:11.74). The Lansdale, Pa., native picked up a third-place finish out of 24 swimmers in the 100 freestyle in 48.88, and posted PSAC cut times in each of his three events.

Sophomore Matheson Bair (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) joined KU's top 10 in the 200 IM, winning the event with the fifth-fastest time in school history (1:57.85).

Shaw and Bair accounted for four of Kutztown's five PSAC cut times on Saturday, but the duo had previously qualified for the upcoming PSAC Championships in those events. Sophomore Paul Spear (Hatboro, Pa./Upper Moreland) became the Bears' newest PSAC qualifier by going 4:58.80 to win the 500 free.

Along with four event victories, KU got runner-up finishes from Reilly Jones (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) in the 400 IM (4:33.62) and Aaron Jost (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) in the 200 back (2:05.19).

The Golden Bears will take the next two weeks to train ahead of the PSAC Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa., Feb. 18-21.
