LEWISBURG, Pa. – Taylor Funk (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) finished second overall, and tied the leader's mark in the pole vault out of 20 competitors, including several Division I athletes, as Kutztown women's track and field completed the opening day of the Bison Challenge and Multi Friday at Bucknell University.
 
Funk's 3.50m (11-5.75) beat clearance was a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying standard, joining Natalie Holland (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg), who also earned a PSAC mark in the pole vault with a seventh place finish at 3.35m (10-11.75).
 
A third Golden Bear, Maura Lenhart (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh), received a PSAC cut time in the 5000m, placing eighth in a time of 18:33.59.
 
The distance medley relay team consisting of Mackey Donovan (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee), Beth Schearer (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), Jensen Kraft (Nutley, N.J./Saint Mary) and Deandra Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) crossed the finish line fourth overall at 12:42.74.
 
Maria Clark (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) had a top 10 finish in the shot put with a best throw of 11.90m (39-0.50).
