Kutztown saves best for last to finish third at PSAC Championship

KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- The Kutztown University women's golf team shot its low round of the tournament to move up to third at the conclusion of the 2026 PSAC Championship at Berkleigh Golf Club, Friday.

It was another day of strong play from top-to-bottom from head coach Robert Fisher's squad. The Golden Bears produced five birdies and 33 pars, collectively, with each player that took to the course accounting for one birdie apiece.

Junior Brook Graham tied for the team-high with eight pars and knocked in a birdie putt on the par 3, 117-yard 12th for a round of 9-over par 81. The two-time All-PSAC First Team selection tied for 13th overall with a 54-hole total of 32-over 248 (83-84-81).

Rookie Eva Moawad (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) produced her low round of the tournament with an 84 (+12) to gain five spots on the leaderboard and place 22nd. Moawad birdied No. 2, a par 4 playing at 271 yards. She also contributed seven pars on the day and finished with a three-day total of 258 (89-85-84).

Grace Klements (Little Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Pinelands Regional) also collected a birdie on the par 4 second and matched Graham for the team lead with eight pars. The junior finished 24th at 260 overall (86-85-89).

For the second day in a row, senior Gabby Cohen (Jeffersonville, N.Y./Sullivan West) made the turn at 4-over 39, best among all Kutztown players. She used a birdie and three pars over a five-hole stretch to highlight her front nine. Cohen's birdie came on the 135-yard, par 3 third and she added two pars on the back nine to tie for the Bears' second-lowest round of the day at 84 (+12). She improved by six spots in the individual standings to tie for 27th at 263 (88-91-84).

Livia Andov (Pekanbaru, Indonesia/) recorded a top 25 individual finish in her PSAC Championship debut after closing with a 14-over 86, Friday. Andov birdied the 315-yard, par 4 fourth and had five pars during her final round. The freshman shot 262 over 54 holes (87-89-86).

Kutztown pushed its way past Bloomsburg and California (Pa.) with a final round 335 for its highest finish at the conference championship tournament since winning its lone PSAC title in the fall of 2017. The Bears finished with a total score of 158-over 1022 (344-343-335).

Gannon won its seventh consecutive PSAC championship, breaking away from a deadlock with West Chester after Thursday's second round to claim the title by eight strokes. The Golden Knights finished with a 938 (308-321-309) ahead of the Golden Rams at 946 (312-317-317) and Kutztown's Golden Bears.

Bloomsburg was one shot back of KU in fourth at 1023 (333-350-340) and Clarion jumped two spots to take fifth at 1043 (339-362-342).

Gannon's Alexandria LeCureux won the individual championship by five shots over Bloomsburg's Sophia Reed with a three-day total of 11-over 227 (75-79-73).

Friday marked Fisher's final tournament leading the Golden Bear golf program, one he built from infancy into PSAC champions over the last 25 seasons. The 2017-18 PSAC Coach of the Year announced his plan to retire this summer earlier this year. Fisher guided the Maroon and Gold to 54 tournament wins, 10 top three finishes at the PSAC Championship, the 2017 PSAC title and the 2017 NCAA East Super Regional.
