KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Dang Nguyen (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam/) had an unblemished week last week for Kutztown men's tennis, and his success helped lead him to the final Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's Athlete of the Week honor.
 
Nguyen went 2-0 last Tuesday as Kutztown defeated West Chester, 5-2, to clinch its first PSAC Championship berth since 2018.
 
Nguyen teamed with Henrique Rocha (Jaticua, Brazil/Escola SEB Maceio) for a 6-2 win at first doubles and beat the Golden Rams' Lucas Henke 6-1, 6-2 at first singles.
 
Nguyen is 11-6 on the year in singles play, including 11-4 at No. 1. He's also posted a 10-8 doubles record, including a 9-5 mark at No. 1.
 
Kutztown, which finished the regular season 13-4 overall, will now set its sights on the postseason as it takes on Edinboro in the PSAC semifinal round this Friday, May 2, at Bloomsburg.
