LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Kutztown University acrobatics & tumbling outscored Georgian Court in all six events Wednesday evening to capture a fourth consecutive victory with its highest scoring meet of the season, 242.210-203.915.

The Golden Bears improved to 4-1 overall with the victory, while the Lions fell to 1-2.

KU gained sizable advantages in the compulsory, pyramid, toss, tumbling and team events. The visitors came out strong in the compulsory event with a 9.70 out of 10 in the pyramid heat and a 9.45 out of 10 in the toss heat to grab an early 35.05-27.75 lead.

Karah Paull's squad added nearly five more points to its lead in the acro event, bolstered by a 9.05 in the 6-element heat and a 9.65 in the 7-element heat. A trio of 9+ scores in the pyramid event put Kutztown in front 91.30-77.75 at the half. The Bears scored 9.50/10 in the inversion and synchronized heats and a 9.70/10 in the open heat.

The second half also belonged to the Maroon and Gold. KU won the toss event 25.40-22.65, the tumbling event 47.900-40.275 and the team event 77.61-63.24.

Kutztown will now turn its attention to Mountain East Conference competition for the remainder of the regular season. The Golden Bears will travel to West Liberty for a tri-meet with the host Hilltoppers and Wheeling on Saturday, March 22, at 2 p.m.
