UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Mackey Donovan (Blauvelt, N.Y./Tappan Zee) and Brook Smith (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) became new program top-10 entries and five from Kutztown women's track & field earn Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying marks to highlight KU's day Saturday at the Sykes & Sabock Invitational on the campus of Penn State University in University Park.
 
Donovan's time of 2:18.08 in the 800m was a PSAC cut time and also ninth fastest in KU lore. Smith finished the 200m in 25.93, tied for 10th all-time. Beth Schearer (Springfield, Pa./Springfield) and Kiana Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) recorded PSAC qualifying times in the 200m and welcomed Smith into the record books with them in the event.
 
Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) placed sixth overall in the 400m with a PSAC time of 57.62 and also joined Young, Schearer and Taniyah Lawler (Chester, Pa./Chester) in the 4x4 relay team that finished fourth. Delaney Beard (Sinking Spring, Pa./Governor Mifflin) was sixth in the triple jump with a PSAC mark of 11.35m (37-3).
 
Kutztown will be back in action next weekend for a two-day event at the Widener Indoor Classic in Chester on Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15.
