LANCASTER, Pa. – Ana Soto (Hamburg, N.J./Vernon Township) set a new program record in the 100 Free and Sarah Zeminski (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) finished just short of the record in the 200 Fly as Kutztown women's swimming finished seventh overall out of 13 teams Sunday on day three of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lancaster.
 
Soto placed third in the 100 Free with a program-best time of 52.09, which is not only a PSAC cut time, but an NCAA B Cut time. Zeminski finished fourth in the 200 Fly at 2:09.17, second all-time in program history.
 
Other PSAC qualifying times include Julia Kopcho (Pemberton, N.J./Camden Catholic) and Ryleigh Czerwinski (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) in the 200 Backstroke, Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium) and Phoebe Armes (Somerset, UK/Millfield School) in the 100 Free, Tatum Rothermel (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) and Birta Smaradottir (Mosfellsbær, Iceland/Commercial College of Iceland) in the 200 Breaststroke, and Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape), Camryn Sedora (Chester, Md./Kent Island) and Lorelei Grove (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) in the 1650 Free.
 
Kopcho's time of 2:11.52 in the 200 Back ranks sixth all-time at KU and the 400 Free Relay team, consisting of Soto, Pease-Wingenter, Armes and Kopcho, touched the line in 3:35.36, sixth-best in program lore.
 
Kutztown has one more meet this calendar year, a tri-meet at home inside Keystone Natatorium when KU hosts Arcadia and Kean on Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at 1 p.m. It is the final home meet of the year for the Golden Bears.
