KU Acro & Tumbling defeats Stevenson for second win in-a-row

STEVENSON, Md. – The Kutztown Acrobatics & Tumbling team scored better in all six events to defeat Stevenson 246.130 to 185.730 Saturday afternoon in Stevenson, Md.
 
The Golden Bears are now 3-1 overall and have won two meets in-a-row after splitting with East Stroudsburg and Gannon in a tri-meet to open the season.
 
KU scored a high of 82.53 out of a 99.68 start value in the team event and its 28.55 out of a 29.70 start value in the pyramid event was the best percentage win of the day. The Maroon and Gold also won the compulsory event 33.45-22.55, 26.55-20.65 in the acro event, 24.70-26.80 in the toss event and 50.350-35.75 in the tumbling event.
 
Kutztown will have a week-and-a-half off before its next meet, also on the road, in a tri-match at Glenville State University on Wednesday, March 13, at 6 p.m. KU will compete with the host Pioneers and also Bluefield State.
