BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Kutztown University men's swimming dropped a double dual against PSAC foes Bloomsburg and Edinboro on Friday night in Bloomsburg. The Bears fell to the Fighting Scots, 93-73, and the host Huskies, 153-37.

Matheson Bair (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) again led the way for the Maroon and Gold with two PSAC cut times, a victory in the 100-yard freestyle and a runner-up finish in the 50-yard freestyle. Bair rallied past Bloomsburg's Adler Zawodny in the final 50 yards with a 24.65 finishing split to win the 100 free in 48.00. Zawodny was less than two-tenths back at 48.19 as both swimmers registered PSAC qualifying times.

The result in the 100 evened the score between Bair and Zawodny for the night. Earlier, in the 50 free, Zawodny nipped Bair by .14 to take the race in 22.04. Bair, already a member of KU's top 10 in the event, swam 22.18.

RJ Otten (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) placed third in the 200 individual medley (2:06.89) and fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:04.33).

Kutztown (0-4, 0-3 PSAC) picked up nearly 10 seconds from its previous season-best in the 400 medley relay (3:54.01) to take fourth on Friday. The quartet of Otten, Theo Miksa (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East), Bair and Nigel Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) registered a 3:44.30.

The Golden Bears are back at home on Saturday, Nov. 9, to take on Franklin & Marshall at 1 p.m.
