KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Matheson Bair (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) swept the sprint freestyle events and captured a third individual victory in the 100-yard butterfly as the Kutztown University men's swim team made its home debut at the Keystone Natatorium in a 111-68 setback against Montclair State on Saturday.

Bair, who joined Kutztown's top 10 list in the 50-yard freestyle during the team's season-opening meet at Shippensburg, once again showed off his chops in the event against the Red Hawks. The freshman from Orwigsburg, Pa., recorded another PSAC cut time of 22.03 to best runner-up Michael Salvatori by 1.2 seconds.

In the very next event, Bair put down a PSAC qualifying time in the 100 free to top teammate Nigel Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) by more than three seconds in a 1-2 finish for the Maroon and Gold. Bair swam 48.44, while Pizzo recorded a 51.54.

Late in the meet, Bair was victorious in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.49, edging Montclair's Adrian Gonzalez by less than two-tenths of a second.

RJ Otten (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) earned a PSAC cut time of 2:03.51 to finish second in the 200 fly and Pizzo placed third in the 200 free (1:53.81).

Kutztown (0-2) will travel to Bloomsburg next Friday, Nov. 1, for a PSAC double dual with the host Huskies and Edinboro.
