BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- True freshman sprinter Kiana Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) had herself a Saturday, setting top ten KU times in two events, while Brianna Foster (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley Park) won the long jump, as the Kutztown University track and field team competed at the Lehigh Games this weekend in Bethlehem, Pa.

Young kicked off the day by running a 12.46 time in the 100-meter dash, which was good enough for fourth place, a PSAC mark, and the eighth-best mark in KU history. The East Stroudsburg, Pa. native then followed it up with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a PSAC time of 25.39, the fifth-best mark in program history. 

The only Golden Bear to win on Saturday was Foster. Foster keeps raising the bar in the long jump, finishing with a 5.84m (17'11.75") performance. That was good enough to earn her a PSAC mark. Kacie Sienko (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) finished third in the same event with a jump of 5.38m (17'8"), which was another PSAC mark. 

Along with Young, Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) also earned a PSAC mark in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.06. She then followed that up with a 59.69 time in the 400-meters, which earned her second PSAC mark of the day. Hazel Deschamps (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) finished second in the 400-meter hurdles with a PSAC time of 1:07.79. KU's last PSAC marks of the day came from pole vaulters Andrea Danciu (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin) and Myah Davies (New Market, Md./Linganore), as they both cleared the bar at 3.20m (10'6").

KU is back in action next weekend at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. The events kick off on Friday, April 14 and run to Sunday, April 16.
