SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –  Sprinter Kiana Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) continues to put together an impressive freshman campaign, setting two top-ten programs times for the second time this season, as the Kutztown University women's track and field competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic at Shippensburg Saturday.

The East Stroudsburg, Pa. native improved upon her already top ten times in both the 100 and 200-meter dashes. Young ran a 12.43 time in the 100-meter prelims, finishing fourth, before running a 12.41 in the finals, good enough for 6th-best in program history. She followed that up with a third-place finish, running 25.23 in the 200-meters, which is now the second-best mark in program history. She earned a PSAC mark in both events.

Mia Grassia (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) was another Golden Bear to enter the record books on Saturday. She cleared the bar at 1.65m (5"5') in the high jump, which earned her third place and the sixth-best mark in KU history. That performance also earned her a PSAC mark. Sophia Knerr (Columbia, N.J./North Warren Regional) and Anastasia Fratanduono (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) both also set top ten program marks in the 3000-meter steeplechase. 

On top of that duo, Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin), Ava Bendetti (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland), Deandra Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg), Erika Moriarty (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown), Jaidah Mitchell (Pemberton, N.J./Pemberton Township), Sophia Knerr (Columbia, N.J./North Warren Regional), Anastasia Fratanduono (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan), Haylee Edwards (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley), Andrea Danciu (Mohnton, Pa./Governor Mifflin), Brianna Foster (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley Park), and Kacie Sienko (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) all earned PSAC marks.

The 4x100 relay team of Danciu, Young, Bonner, and Foster also ran an impressive time of 48.25, which was just short of their 7th-best time in school history by .06 of a second

The Golden Bears have one more meet in the regular season before the PSAC Outdoor Championships from May 11-13. KU will travel to Penn State to take part in the Jim Thorpe Open on Friday, May 5
