LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Junior sprinter Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) captured her second-career individual conference title in the 400-meter dash on the final day of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Championships, hosted at Bucknell University on Sunday afternoon. The Golden Bears ended the weekend in ninth out of 15 teams with 34 points. 

The Harrisburg native finished first with a time of 58.54, just 0.04 seconds ahead of Caroline Mastria from Shippensburg. Bonner won the same event at the 2021 PSAC Outdoor Championships. She's KU's first winner at the indoor championships since Meghan Forsythe and Ally Tama (Towanda, Pa./Towanda) back in 2020. 

The Golden Bear's other top-five finisher on Sunday was Ava Bendetti (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland), who ran 2:22.58 in the 800-meters, good enough for fifth place and four points. Deandra Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) finished eighth in that same event, setting a personal best with a time of 2:23.48.

Kiana Young (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) entered the all-time top 10 list in the 200-meter dash. The freshman from East Stroudsburg, Pa. finished seventh with a time of 25.93, which is tied for the seventh-best mark in program history. Mia Grassia (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) was KU's other point-getter, finishing sixth in the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.52 meters (4'11.75").

Sunday concluded a successful indoor season for the Golden Bears. The outdoor campaign will kick off on Friday, March 17 at the Fred Hardy Invitational in Richmond, Va.
