CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – Naia Pulliam (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) and Robert Tucker (Philadelphia, Pa./Paul Robeson) were each honored on the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Organization's Team of the Year, announced at the annual awards banquet Thursday afternoon at DeSales University.
 
The LVSCBO is made up local Lehigh Valley NCAA Division II Institutions ESU and Kutztown, along with NCAA Division III's Cedar Crest, DeSales, Moravian and Muhlenberg. The media luncheons have been taking place every year since 1994-95 but did not happen during the 2020-21 year due to the pandemic. The first Players of the Year were selected in 1997-98. The Team of the Year recognizes student-athletes from the six schools for their athletic accomplishments during the season.
 
Pulliam and Tucker are both first-year members of the team.
 
Pulliam, a sophomore guard/forward, has experienced a sophomore surge in 2022-23. She has played in all 25 games this season, starting in 11, including in the last seven. Pulliam has averaged 10.7 points per game, 4.0 rebounds per game and 2.0 assists per game, all career-highs. She also has 13 blocks and 14 steals in 27.4 minutes per game.
 
Tucker, a senior forward broke out for KU in his second season in Maroon and Gold. Tucker has played in 21 games, making 20 starts, and leads Kutztown in scoring at 15.8 points per game in 30.2 minutes per game. He's also averaging 9.2 rebounds per game, which ranks third in the PSAC, and has totaled 23 blocks and 15 steals, both career-highs. He is shooting 61.0% from the field, second-best in the conference.
 
Kutztown hosts Mansfield in PSAC Eastern Division action this Saturday, Feb. 18, beginning with the men's game at 1 p.m.
