BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Jack Hollar (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) led the way as the Kutztown University men's cross country team turned in an impressive second-place finish at the Bloomsburg Invitational Saturday morning. KU finished with 50 points, only one behind first-place Lock Haven.

The junior from East Stroudsburg finished fourth with a time of 26:59.7, including an average mile time of 5:25.8. KU's high team finish didn't just come from the efforts of Hollar, as Jacob Huber (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley), Robbie Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), Kayden Platania (Buena, N.J./Buena Regional), and Andrew Diehl (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) all finished inside the top 16.

Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) and Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) were the other Golden Bears to compete on the day, finishing 36th and 38th respectively.

Lock Haven was able to stave off the Golden Bears thanks to a second and third-place finish from Jakob Rager and Morgan Gavitt. Ryan Duff was the top individual finisher from the hosts Bloomsburg, as the Huskies finished four points behind KU in third. 

The Golden Bears now turn their attention to the postseason and the PSAC Cross Country Championships. That race will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Bloomsburg.
