NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Kutztown women's track & field team had a trio from the pole vault earn Pennsylvania State Qualifying marks to lead KU in its first meet of the calendar year Saturday night at the College of New Jersey Lions Invitational.
 
Myah Davies (New Market, Md./Linganore), Haylee Edwards (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) and Megan Kearns (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) all made the mark. Davies tied her PR with a 3.65m (11-11.75), which is tied for third all-time in program history. She finished second overall in the event.
 
Colleen Gilbert (Willow Street, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) and Raechel Bonner (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) ran to qualifying times on the track side of things. Gilbert's 5:22.63 in the mile and Bonner's 59.70 in the 400m was good enough to qualify for PSACs.
 
Ava Bendetti (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland) finished fourth overall in the 800m at a time of 2:24.63.
 
Kutztown's next meet will also be in the Empire State as KU competes at the Gotham Cup in Staten Island, N.Y., next Friday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m.
