Men’s cross country stays put at No. 10 in the USTFCCCA Atlantic region poll

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Kutztown university men's cross country team remained at No. 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) DII men's cross country week four Atlantic region poll released by the organization Tuesday afternoon.

The Golden Bears remain at No. 10 following a third-place finish at the DeSales Invitational last weekend. KU had Jack Hollar (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), Logan Iacobelli (Breinigsville, Pa./Parkland), Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall), and Jay Thompson (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) all place in the top 30 to help vault Ray Hoffman's team to third place.

The youthful Golden Bears have been improving on a meet-by-meet basis. Outside of a 15th-place finish at the Paul Short Run, KU now has a fifth, fourth, and third place under its belt this season.

The entire poll remained unchanged with Charleston (W. Va.), Edinboro, and Concord staying atop the rankings. Six of the ten ranked teams come from the Pennslyvania State Athletic Conference.

KU has the weekend off before taking part in its last meet of the regular season at the Last Chance Run Fast Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College. It will take place on Oct. 21, with the mens's race starting at 5:15 p.m.
