KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's basketball team honored three of its players,
Ricky Hicks (Coatesville, Pa./Polytech),
David Johnson (Dunellen, N.J./Dunellen) and
Anthony Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington), and then was able to send them out with a victory, taking down Lock Haven University 98-89 on senior day Saturday in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action at Keystone Arena.

The Golden Bears finished the 2018-19 regular season with a 15-13 overall record and 9-11 in the PSAC. KU has now won at least 15 games in each of the last five seasons.

Three Kutztown players recorded 20-plus points and four reached double-figures overall, led by Lee and
Josh Townsend (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) each with 24 points. Lee is second all-time in program history and fifth in PSAC history in career points (2,245). He has now recorded double-digits in scoring in 57 straight games. Lee just missed a triple-double, finishing with eight rebounds and nine assists and played all 40 minutes of the game.

Townsend, who has played more often over the last month due to an injury to
Moe Williams (Townsend, Del./Life Center Academy), had a monster game. He tallied a career-high with 24 points and brought down 12 rebounds for his second straight double-double and fourth in the last five games. Townsend has grabbed double-figure rebounds in each of the last five games and 12 times this season overall.

Hicks tied a career-high with 21 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the floor, including 2-of-4 from three. He also had five rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes of action. Johnson recorded two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 15 minutes in his final home game in Maroon and Gold.

Da'Quan Granberry (Linwood, Pa./Chichester) was the fourth Golden Bear in double-figures, tallying 11 points, going 3-of-4 from long range and 2-for-2 at the free-throw line.

The Bald Eagles (12-14, 8-12), who will enter the postseason as the PSAC East's sixth seed, did not let the hype of senior day inside Keystone disturb them from coming to play. There were six ties and one lead change in a back-and-forth first half. Kutztown never held a lead until the 10:05 mark of the first half, and did not trail the remainder of the opening half, taking a 44-37 advantage into the locker rooms.

Lock Haven tied the game at 51-51 3:15 into the second half and the team's traded blows with four lead changes and three ties over the course of the next 5:42. Leading 64-63 with 10:41 remaining, Kutztown scored 11 of the game's next 13 points to take a double-digit lead (75-65) for the first time all game with 7:54 to play. KU found its bearings and finished off senior day in style, never holding a lead less than seven points the rest of the way.

Facundo Arens (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Bahia Blanca) contributed six points, three rebounds and two assists for Kutztown.
Austin Laughlin (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) netted four points and two rebounds,
Akello Mosby (Philadelphia, Pa./Carver) and
Kyree Generett (York, Pa./William Penn) each had three points, with Mosby grabbing four rebounds, and
Kiyon Hardy (Philadelphia, Pa./The Shipley School) posted two points and one rebound in the win.

Kutztown receives the fifth seed in the upcoming PSAC Tournament and will travel to face fourth seed Millersville University on Monday, March 4, at 7 p.m.
