KU Game Notes | Live Stats | Live Video

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's basketball team had a season-long three-game win streak snapped in its last game at Shippensburg Saturday, but it will aim to begin a new streak when it faces Mansfield University tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 16, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East road tilt at 7:30 p.m. at Marion Decker Gymnasium.

The Golden Bears (10-7 overall, 4-5) have won eight in a row against the Mountaineers (1-13. 0-9) and have not lost in this series since Feb. 6, 2014. Before last Saturday at Ship, KU had won three in a row and four of its last five. Mansfield is currently on a 10-game losing streak and is 1-5 at home, its lone victory coming in its home-opener.

The KU offense ranks second in the PSAC in scoring at 83.9 points per game (ppg). KU is shooting 49.2-percent from the floor, second in the PSAC and the best since the 2016-17 season.

Anthony Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) has scored in double-digits the last 46 games and is second in Division II at 27.4 ppg. He is fifth in PSAC in three-point percentage (41.6), second in three-pointers made (52) and first in free-throw percentage (91.5). Lee is coming off a 39-point, six-rebound night vs. the Raiders where he shot 76-percent (16-for-21) from the floor, including 3-of-5 from long distance.

Moe Williams (Townsend, Del./Life Center Academy) has five double-doubles this season. He ranks third in the PSAC at 9.2 rpg. Ricky Hicks (Coatesville, Pa./Polytech), who was recently named to the Lehigh Valley Small College Basketball Media Organization's Scholar-Athlete team, has started 15-of-17 games this season and is third on KU at 9.9 ppg. His 2.1 assists-to-turnover ratio ranks fourth in the PSAC.

Josh Townsend (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) (1.0) and Lee (0.9) rank eighth and 10th in the PSAC respectively in blocks per game. Kiyon Hardy (Philadelphia, Pa./The Shipley School) is fourth on KU with 8.0 ppg. Facundo Arens (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Bahia Blanca) is one of just three Golden Bears to start in all 17 games. The sophomore is scoring at a 6.4 ppg clip. Freshman Da'Quan Granberry (Linwood, Pa./Chichester) has played in every game this year and classmate Kyree Generett (York, Pa./William Penn) recently had a season-high 12 points in a win over Edinboro on Jan. 9.

Mansfield ranks in the bottom-third in the league in scoring (68.3 ppg) and points allowed (82.1). The Mountaineers are led by Tyler Moffe, who is 15th in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 16.9 ppg and has scored 20 or more in six games this season. Taylor Sweeney is averaging 14.1 points a game and is coming off a 20-point performance at Millersville last Saturday. Garret Cook has drained 42 three-pointers on the season on his way to averaging 10.4 points an outing.
