EDINBORO, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's tennis team suffered its first setback of its spring schedule, falling to Edinboro University 7-2 Saturday afternoon in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opener.
After going undefeated last week, winning all three of their matches during their spring break trip, the Golden Bears (4-2 overall, 0-1 PSAC) met a Fighting Scots team that was playing with momentum. Before Saturday, KU's last match was eight days prior, on Mar. 16. Unlike Edinboro (8-6, 4-0), which was coming off a 7-2 victory over Bloomsburg University Friday evening, and remains unbeaten against PSAC competition this year.

Nolan Perugini (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and sophomore
Josh Carl (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) helped KU win two of its final three singles matches on the day. Perugini is now 5-1 this season in singles action and Carl improves to 3-2.
Kutztown is back in action tomorrow, Sunday, Mar. 25 at Mercyhurst University at 12 p.m.
