KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) posted six touchdowns and led the Kutztown University offense to 547 yards, while the defense caused a season-high five turnovers as the Golden Bears rolled to a 62-17 victory over Seton Hill University Saturday afternoon in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) crossover game at University Field at Andre Reed Stadium.

The Golden Bears (2-1) scored touchdowns on six of their first eight possessions, including a stretch of six-in-a-row that carried through the second and third quarters.

DiGalbo, who entered the weekend ranked third in the PSAC in completion percentage, completed 17-of-21 passes for a career-high 301 yards and five touchdowns. He also ran for a 1-yard touchdown to cap his six-touchdown afternoon. He is the first Golden Bear to throw for 300 yards since Chad Barton in 2015 and is 1-of-7 players in school history to throw for five touchdown passes in a game.

Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) set the tempo early Saturday, running for 30 yards on consecutive plays to score his first of two touchdowns. He hauled in a 57-yard touchdown pass the following drive for a 14-0 KU lead – a lead that blossomed to 35-3 at halftime.

Reynolds ran for 118 yards and had four catches for 97 yards. He had 169 of his 222 all-purpose yards in the first quarter, jumping more than five spots to sixth in school history with 3,237 career all-purpose yards.

It was a day of firsts for KU, as six players scored their first career touchdowns on Saturday. Following DiGalbo's 10th career rushing touchdown early in the second quarter, redshirt-freshman Evan Culver (Hellertown, Pa./Saucon Valley) ran in from two yards out for his first career score.

Earlier this year, redshirt-senior tight end Andrew Garbarino (Peckville, Pa./Valley View) caught his first career pass in his 33rd career game. In his 35th career game on Saturday, he hauled in his first career touchdown – a six-yard play in the back of the endzone for the 35-3 halftime lead.

Kutztown opened the third-quarter with the ball and capped a seven-play, 73-yard drive – in just more than three minutes – with a 38-yard pass to freshman Amadou Barry (Upper Darby, Pa./West Catholic Prep) for his first career touchdown. KU's next two drives were capped with touchdown passes to senior Josh Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington (Thaddeus Stevens)) and redshirt-sophomore Diego Torres (York, Pa./West York Area) for their first career touchdown catches and a 56-3 Golden Bear lead heading into the fourth.

While Seton Hill scored two touchdowns in the fourth, Kutztown capped its scoring off redshirt-senior backup quarterback Chris Kane (Maple Glen, Pa./La Salle College). Kane capped a 37-yard drive with a five-yard touchdown run to put KU over the 60-point mark for the first time since 2015.

Kutztown's 547 yards of total offense are its most since a 668-yard performance last year at East Stroudsburg. KU averaged eight yards per play and ran for a season-high 218 yards.

The defensive unit was just as strong as the offense Saturday. Seton Hill was coming off a 38-point performance and was limited to three points through three quarters. Kutztown hauled in four interceptions – all in the first half – and forced a fumble for a season-high five committed turnovers.

KU's four interceptions are its most since 2011. Shawn Turber-Ortiz (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) had his first two career interceptions, as did TwyNique Chisholm-Wilkerson (Harrisburg, Pa., Steelton-Highspire) for KU. Ahkee Cox-Cowan (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) also had an interception and added three breakups.

Jalen Nieves (Bensalem, Pa./Bensalem) and Luke Snyder (Levittown, Pa./Pennsbury) had a team-high seven tackles, while Tajier Jefferson (East Orange, N.J./Queen of Peace) added six and a forced fumble.

Seton Hill quarterback Christian Strong threw for 320 yards on 58 attempts with one touchdown and the four interceptions. It is the first 300-yard passer KU has allowed since Strong last year.

The Golden Bears open division play next weekend, Saturday, Sept. 23, against Millersville University under the lights at Andre Reed Stadium beginning at 6:05 p.m.
