KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's tennis team fell to the LeMoyne University Dolphins 9-0 on Saturday afternoon in its last match of the fall season.

In the No. 1 singles match, Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) nearly secured a win for KU against a strong Dolphin side, dropping the first set 6-2, but winning the second set 6-1 to force a tiebreak. Capoferri fell in the tiebreak in the closest match of the afternoon.

LeMoyne showed their depth in the doubles events, winning 24 of 26 sets for three overall victories. Along with Capoferri, Mackenzie Delp (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) won frames in their singles matches.

This marks the end of the competitive fall season for the Golden Bears, who will not compete again as a team until they travel to Hilton Head, S.C. for their Spring Break Trip Mar. 10-Mar.16.
