HAMPTON, Va. – The nationally-ranked Kutztown University wrestling team won both of its matches on Saturday to go 3-0 over the weekend and win the Virginia Duals for the second straight year.
The Golden Bears (6-1) defeated Camden County College in the semifinals, 39-6, and Ferrum College in the championship, 27-12.

T.C. Warner (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley (Bloomsburg)) won both of his matches by bonus points. He won a 16-0 tech. fall vs. Camden and by pinfall in 0:49 against Ferrum at 165. He moves to 4-0 on the season, all by bonus points.
133-pounder
Lucas Miller (Perkiomenville, Pa./Boyertown Area) also won both of his matches by bonus points. He won a 13-0 major decision against Camden and followed with a 16-0 tech. fall over Ferrum.
Ryne Morrison (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston (Ursinus)) won both matches at 141 - by pinfall over Camden in 2:54 and in a 4-2 sudden victory over Ferrum.
Chad Haegele (Warrington, Pa./Archbishop Wood) went 2-0 at 149 with a 12-0 major decision and a 9-5 decision in the nightcap. 174-pounder
Joe Balboni (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton (Old Dominion)) won by an 8-3 decision and an 18-8 major decision.
Collin Schildt (Thurmont, Md./Catoctin) won two decisions on the day at 184, and
Ryan Appleby (Belvidere, N.J./Belvidere) turned in wins by tech. fall (20-5) and decision (10-4) to round out KU's two-match winners on Saturday.

Austin Petril (Clifton Heights, Pa./Upper Darby (Ursinus)) opened his day with a win by pinfall in 2:36, but was upset in the nightcap by a 5-4 decision. It was his team-leading 14th match of the season.
James Meyer (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) also won in sudden victory and went 1-1 on the day to highlight KU's overall winners on Saturday.
