2016-17: Warner went 18-5 in his junior year (first at KU), after beginning his season the second semester. He placed fourth at regionals at 165 and became an All-American with a fifth-place finish at nationals. He was 12-1 in dual meets and posted three pins, four major decisions and four tech. falls. His quickest pin was in 32 seconds. He opened the year winning his first nine matches and 14 of his first 15...Became an All-American with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA National Championships in Birmingham, Alabama. He went 3-2 over the weekend, including a win over a regional champion and the third-ranked 165-pounder in the country, and advanced to the national semifinal (3/11)...Finished 3-2 at the Super Region Championships and finished fourth overall, notching a spot at the National Championships (2/25)...Picked up a pinfall victory in a win over Shippensburg (2/9)...Recorded a 13-3 major decision against Gannon (2/3)...Notched a 1-0 decision against Ashland (1/28)...4-0 at the KU Duals, including a pinfall in 0:32, to move to 8-0 on the year (1/21)...Up to No. 3 in Division II at 165, leading up to KU Duals (1/20)...Went 3-0 at the Virginia Duals with two tech. falls (combined 34-0) and a pin in 0:49 (1/14)...15-2 major decision over Millersville (1/10)...Ranked third at 165 in SR1 and fifth in Division II to start his KU career (1/4).

2015-16 (at Bloomsburg): Wrestled in three matches for the Huskies as a sophomore.

2014-15 (at Old Dominion): Competed at 157 pounds in his freshman season, compiling a 27-14 season record at Old Dominion.

HIGH SCHOOL: Warner wrestled in high school at Cumberland Valley and was a PIAA State Champion in 2014 along with being a two-time PIAA runner-up. He posted a record of 127-16, which included a mark of 45-2 with 32 pins as a senior.  He was selected to participate in the Dapper Dan Classic as well as the Cliff Keen/Wrestling USA Magazine Team Classic.
