KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Despite a solid day from senior Rich Lichtenwalner (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), the Kutztown University men's tennis team fell to West Chester University, 6-3, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match at Keystone Courts on Saturday.
 
Lichtenwalner picked up wins on Saturday at No. 4 singles against Lars Kristiansen and at No. 2 doubles alongside Filip Lagerqvist (Sundsvall, Sweden/Skvaderns Gymnasieskola). Lichtenwalner dropped his first set in singles, but rallied to win the final two as he won in comeback fashion with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory.
 
In doubles, Lichtenwalner and Lagerqvist took down Kristiansen and Troy Donato by a score of 8-5.
 
Kutztown's easiest win of the day was by Joan Oliver Perez (Andratx, Spain/IES Baltasar Porcel) at No. 2 singles. He defeated Lucas von der Heyde in straight sets with a 6-2, 6-1 final score. Oliver Perez teamed up with Nogara Souza at No. 1 doubles. They won five games in an 8-5 loss.
 
The Golden Bears return to action on Wednesday, March 30, at 3 p.m. in a home match against Bloomfield College.
