Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Kutztown University men's tennis team won a pair of matches in the team's 7-2 defeat at the University of the Sciences on Monday afternoon at the McNeil Field Courts.
Filip Lagerqvist (Sundsvall, Sweden/Skvaderns Gymnasieskola) won two matches for the Golden Bears. In doubles action, he and senior
Rich Lichtenwalner (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) earned an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles, the duo's second win of the season.
Lagerqvist also brought home a singles win at the fourth flight. After dropping the first set 6-1, he came back with a 6-1 win of his own in the second set and was leading 3-0 in the third before his opponent retired.
Kutztown looks ahead to its first two home matches of the year. It takes on Caldwell on Wednesday, March 23 at 3 p.m. at the Keystone Tennis Courts.
