HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Kutztown University men's tennis team fell to Gordon College, 5-4, on Friday in what proved to be a very tight matchup on the team's final day of its spring break trip.

Kutztown (0-6) picked up three wins in singles action and a win in doubles. In singles, senior
Rich Lichtenwalner (Allentown, Pa./Parkland), along with sophomores
Gabriel Nogara Souza (Curitiba, Brazil/Dom Bosco) and
David Nunez Contreras (Madrid, Spain/Mater Immaculata) all recorded victories.

Lichtenwalner earned a singles win for KU for the second day in a row. He recorded a 7-6, 6-2 victory at No. 4 singles. Nogara Souza and Nunez Contreras both won 7-5, 6-0. Nogara Souza recorded his win at No. 3 singles, while Nunez Contreras picked up his victory at No. 5 singles.

Filip Lagerqvist (Sundsvall, Sweden/Skvaderns Gymnasieskola) and Lichtenwalner recorded KU's lone doubles victory. They won by a score of 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.

The Golden Bears return to action on Wednesday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. as it plays at Harford Community College.Â
