Joan Oliver Perez won both of his matches on Sunday, including the match-clinching victory in the tiebreaking set of singles to lead the Kutztown University men's tennis team to a 5-4 victory over West Chester University. 
The Golden Bears (7-3, 2-0 PSAC) move to a perfect 2-0 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action to start the spring season. They are one of three undefeated teams in the PSAC with Edinboro and Mercyhurst, who KU hosts at the Keystone Courts next weekend. 
Kutztown took two of the opening three doubles matches to hold an early 2-1 lead over the Golden Rams (5-8, 1-3).

Ken Beebe won their second flight, 8-1, as Oliver Perez and 
Indi Reverte took an 8-3 win at the third flight of doubles. 
West Chester won two of the next three singles matches to tie the match at 3-3, as KU's 
Matt Maguire won the first singles match for KU at the second flight with a 6-4, 6-0 win. 
KU won the next two singles match though to clinch the team victory. Desai won his 105th career match with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles, for a 4-3 KU lead. Oliver Perez split his first two sets to force a tiebreaker, which he controlled for a 6-3, 0-6, 6-0 win to seal the team victory. 
Kutztown plays its next four matches on its home court over the next two weeks. Its four-match home-stand begins on Wednesday, April 1 with an exhibition match against Harford Community College beginning at 2:30 p.m. 
Kutztown's following two matches are its biggest of the season, as it hosts Mercyhurst University on Friday, April 3 at 2 p.m., and Edinboro University on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m.
