HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Freshman Madi Bleiler (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) set a pool record in the 100-backstroke at Juniata College's Binder Natatorium on Saturday as the Kutztown University women's swimming team defeated the Eagles 105-75. The Golden Bears move to 3-3 in dual meet action this season.
 
Bleiler's time of 1:08.84 in the 100-back was good for first place and a new record at the Eagle's home facility. She also swam the opening leg of the 200-medley relay team that took first place, joined by Suzanne Selman (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh), Rachael Burke (Barnesville, Pa./Mahanoy Area), and Katherine Triggs (York, Pa./York Suburban).
 
Seniors Caitlin Davies (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) and Zoe Sianis (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing Area) secured first place in each of their two races. Davies won the 50- and 100-free, while Sianis was tops in the 200-free and the 100-fly.
 
Senior Jessica Bleiler (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) dominated the field on her way to a victory in the 800-free and finished behind Davies in the 100-free. Bridget Perdoch (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury), Gabrielle Louden (Crum Lynne, Pa./Ridley), and Selman swept the top three spots in the 200-IM.
 
The Maroon and Gold will return to action next weekend at the three-day Franklin & Marshall Invite, kicking off Friday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m.
