Caitlin Davies (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) led the Kutztown University women's swimming team in completing day one of the Golden Bear Invitational at Keystone Pool with a first place finish in the 50-free.

Davies' time of 25.05 was also a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) qualifying time, which will send her to the PSAC Championships in February.

Elizabeth Metz (Rosemont, Pa./Radnor) finished second in the 500-free, breaking her existing PSAC qualifying time (5:20.97) by .28 seconds to finish in 5:20.69.

Zoe Sianis (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) placed second in the 200-IM with a time of 2:19.08.

The Golden Bear 200-freestyle relay 'A' team finished first in the event with a time of 1:43.25, snagging the crown by .01 second faster than East Stroudsburg University's 1:43.26 second place finish. The KU 'A' team also took second in the 400-medley relay with a time of 4:12.82.

The Golden Bears currently sit in third place with 147 points. East Stroudsburg leads with 198 points, and in second is Montclair State with 190. In fourth place is Salisbury with 76 points.

KU is back in the water tomorrow, Saturday, Nov. 16, to finish day two of the Golden Bear Invitational beginning at 10 a.m. at Keystone Pool.
