KUTZTOWN, Pa. (April 14, 2012)—The Kutztown University men's tennis team sweep Edinboro University 9-0, at Keystone Courts on Saturday to clinch a spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament next week.

The Golden Bears improved to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg University clinched the No. 1 seed in the PSAC tournament and will host the competition beginning on Friday, April 20.
Kutztown cruised through the singles round against the Fighting Scots (10-12 overall, 2-3 PSAC).
Rushi Amin (Orefield, PA/Lake Brantley) (Allentown, Pa./Lake Brantley) defeated Ryan Deimel with set scores of 6-0 and 6-1.
Varun Desai (Mumbai, India/K.C. College) (Bombay, India/K.C. College) took a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Kevin Caldwell and
Matthew Maguire (Centurion, South Africa/Tuks Sports School) defeated Brandon Romain, 6-3-6-2.
Ben Nace (Spring Grove, Pa./Delone Catholic) (Spring Grove, Pa./ Delone Catholic) topped Nathan Hansen, 6-3, 6-0 and
Darren Krout (Gordonville, PA/Pequea Valley) (Gordonville, Pa./Pequea Valley) grabbed a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Raffeal Fuslan.
Parth Girme (Pune, India/B.M.C.C.) (Pune, India/B.M.C.C.) went the distance with Kody Duncan as he won the first set 6-4. Duncan responded and defated Girme in the second set 6-2. However Girme rebounded to win the tiebreaker, 1-0.
In doubles action Amin and Maguire defeated Romain and Spencer Zoth 8-0.
Bilawal Suri (Kolkata, India/Calcutta International) (Kolkata, India/Calcutta International School) and Krout paired up to get an 8-2 victory over Jason Ciaccio and Caldwell. Desai and Girme took down Deimel and Eric Tressler, 8-6.
Kutztown will take the next few days to prepare for the 2012 PSAC Tournament taking place next week.
