Clarion's Emma Fickel scored 18 points including four three-pointers, but Tiffin University used a 10-0 run in the second half to pull away from the Golden Eagles and get a 65-51 win in Clarion's season opener Tuesday night at Tippin Gym.
Fickel led the PSAC in three's per game last year at 3.4, which was the top mark in the NCAA regardless of division by a freshman.
Ann Deibert added 11 points and seven rebounds for Clarion.
A total of six Lady Knights reached double figures in scoring during Gannon's 113-31 rout of Penn State Greater Allegheny in the 2011-12 season opener Monday night at the Hammermill Center.
