MILLERSVILLE, PA (April 7, 2010) – The Kutztown University men's tennis team were 6-3 winners at Millersville on Wednesday afternoon's Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division contest.

The Golden Bears won their fifth straight and improved to 6-2 overall this season.

The No. 1 doubles was a PSAC Individual doubles championship rematch between KU's Kaushik Das (Guwahati, INDIA/) and Arpit Sharma (Kolkata, INDIA/) against the Marauders Drew Sorgi and Drew Slocum. The results were the same, with Das and Sharma prevailing by a score of 8-4.

Das defeated Slocum 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles slot. Sharma beat Donald Swantko 6-2 in the first set and clinched the match with a 7-6 second set in the fifth flight.

Ashok Murkerjee was 2-0 on the day, winning at third singles and teaming with Cameron O'Donnell (Allentown/Parkland) to win 9-7 at third doubles.

The final Golden Bear win came from Jonathan Goulet (Quebec, CANADA/) at the second singles with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.

The Golden Bears will return to action on Saturday when they host East Stroudsburg at 11 a.m.
