BLOOMSBURG, PA (April 24, 2010) – Rohini Das finished a fantastic career by winning her 51st career singles match and teaming to win at No. 1 doubles with partner Ridhima Borooah during the Kutztown University women's tennis team's 5-2 defeat to host Bloomsburg University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) consolation match Saturday morning. Das and Borooah prevailed in a fight to the finish with Alison Carney and Emily Palko in the No. 1 doubles tilt by a score of 9-7.
Das carried that momentum into her No. 1 singles match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory.
Sabrina Arnaud was on her way to victory in the No. 3 singles match before the Huskies closed out the contest. Arnaud took the opening set 7-6, before dropping the second 7-3. In the decisive third set, Arnaud was leading 2-0.
Rachel Grula and Nicole Devine battled in the No. 3 doubles, falling by a score of 8-4 to Andrea Malatesta and Laura Sullivan.
The Golden Bears concluded the season with a 10-11 record.
