SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. -- Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School) was victorious in singles and doubles play, Saturday, as the Kutztown University women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 PSAC East road loss to Shippensburg.
The sophomore captain from Vitoria, Brazil, helped the Golden Bears get off to a fast start when she and No. 1 doubles partner
Maddie Gilbert (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) secured a 6-2 win over the Raiders' Jade Miller and Rachel Gallagher.
Kutztown (4-11, 0-4 PSAC East) had opportunities to win the doubles point in the remaining two matches but Shippensburg (7-11, 1-3 PSAC East) won both by matching 6-4 scores to take a 1-0 lead into singles.
De Nadai picked up her sixth singles win of the season in straight set fashion 6-1, 6-4 over Corinne Markovich and while the Maroon and Gold battled from top-to-bottom, the Raiders emerged with the five remaining points.

Gabby Gentile (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) and No. 5
Kendra Yerger (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) each went three sets in their respective matches.
Gentile rallied from a set down to force a third against Yasmin De Meyer but De Meyer held on in the third 6-1, 6-7 (5), 6-4. Yerger took the opening set over Brinley Orris before falling in a super tiebreaker 3-6, 6-2, 10-5.
Kutztown will close the 2025-26 season with a pair of matches next week. The Bears travel to West Chester to wrap up PSAC East play Wednesday at 3 p.m., before returning to the Keystone Courts to host Drew Friday at 4 p.m.
