WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- The Kutztown University women's tennis team wrapped up its 2025-26 season with a 7-0 setback in a PSAC East match at West Chester Wednesday afternoon.
The playoff-bound Golden Rams (9-9, 3-2 PSAC East) proved too much for KU to keep pace with, winning all three doubles matches convincingly and capturing all six singles flights in straight sets.
In doubles,
Ryleigh Bohning (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) and
Ashlyn Phy (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) were the lone Kutztown (4-12, 0-5 PSAC East) duo to win a game, falling to Felicia Manful and Sohana Thompson, 6-1.
Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School)Â won four games in her first singles match against Delaney Tingle, a 6-4, 6-0 defeat. No. 5
Kendra Yerger (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and No. 6 Phy each took a pair of games off their respective opponents.
Wednesday's match marked the final one as a Golden Bear for Bohning, a captain. KU also graduates
Alyson Witman (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood). The two seniors were recognized during Senior Day ceremonies prior to the team's match against Goldey-Beacom back on April 3.
Kutztown was scheduled to play a home match against Division III Drew University this Friday, but it has been canceled to allow Drew flexibility with its remaining conference schedule this weekend.
