KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- The Kutztown University women's tennis team suffered a 5-2 setback against PSAC West foe Edinboro Friday afternoon at the Keystone Courts.
The visiting Fighting Scots (4-8) won the top two doubles flights while only dropping a single game and went on to win four singles matches in straight sets.
Kutztown's (4-9) lone points came by default at fifth and sixth singles due to Edinboro's incomplete lineup.
Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School)Â won four games off Cecilia Carayol in a 6-3, 6-1 defeat at first singles, while
Gabby Gentile (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) claimed two games in a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Luciana Ponce at No. 2.
The Golden Bears return to PSAC East play next Wednesday, April 15, when they host Bloomsburg at 1 p.m.
